Halo Trilogy News

Krickett and I have always wondered what to do with the main pages for each of the sub pages, i.e. Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, ect. Recently I found a script called Juitter that lets you put the latest Twitter posts on your site based on inputed keywords. So now on each of the main pages of the sub pages you can view the latest Twitter posts for that game. Hope you enjoy :)

This is a very interesting comparison and it shows really how bad the graphics were on Halo 2 back when it was thought to be the greatest. Read More

Longshore

Longshore is designed for large scale combat and well suited for smaller affairs.  Longshore’s multitude of industrial buildings, elevated walks, and open inlets conspire to create a complex battleground tailored for multiple combat scenarios.

Citadel

Citadel is a small symmetrical map based on Forerunner architecture.  Two opposing bases offer little safety for players looking for solace. Instead, Citadel forces small squads to stay in constant communication, keep their heads on a swivel, and be prepared to adjust combat tactics in close quarters.

Heretic

Heretic returns players to familiar ground as the Halo 2 arena “Midship” makes its long-rumored debut in Halo 3. The stark interior of the Pious Inquisitor might appear austere on first glance, but Heretic’s symmetrical spaces require players to execute complex strategies in order to outplay their opponents.

If you have ever wondered what the ODSTs did in Halo 3 or if you just want to play as one, then this is the game for you. This is not just a downloadable addition to Halo 3 but rather a stand alone disc. The game features 4 player co-op, new weapons, and a new multiplayer gametype called Firefight. Firefight is very similar to Horde in Gears of War 2.

The ODSTs for some reason have better weapons that the Spartans have never used in the games. One example is the silenced SMG. Also the ODSTs can take advantage of a low light visor that also helps you identify important items.

With the release of Halo 3: ODST, Recon armor is now a possibility for all players. You simply must complete the achievements necessary. Bungie must have been tired of the nonstop emails and requests for Recon from gamers.

Another bonus that is included in this game is 3 new multiplayer maps. One of them is a remake of Midship which was very popular in Halo 2. Multiplayer is going to be the same as Halo 3 multiplayer where you play as a spartan. I assume that both games will play online together in Halo 3.

Halo: Reach was recently announced and if you buy Halo 3: ODST, then you are automatically in the beta for Halo: Reach. This is much like what they did for Halo 3 beta which caused Crackdown to sell tons and tons more copies than it should have.

If you plan on getting Halo 3: ODST then pre-order! All pre-orders can use Sgt. Johnson in the Firefight gametype.

For more information check out the official site.
